# Create a Peppol invoice

Fill in the form and download a Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 invoice, or switch the Standard box to the PINT variant your country uses. Totals and VAT per rate are computed as you type.

## How it works

The Standard box at the top opens on Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 and the file declares it: CustomizationID `urn:cen.eu:en16931:2017#compliant#urn:fdc:peppol.eu:2017:poacc:billing:3.0` with ProfileID `urn:fdc:peppol.eu:2017:poacc:billing:01:1.0`.

Switch the box for Peppol PINT and the declared identifiers change with it: `billing-1@jp-1` for Japan, `@sg-1` for Singapore InvoiceNow, `@my-1` for Malaysia, `@ae-1` for the United Arab Emirates and `@aunz-1` for Australia and New Zealand. The form does not change, the checks follow the standard you picked.

The Leitweg-ID field belongs to German public buyers and is hidden on every other standard, so it can never end up as a routing code on an invoice bound for Singapore. The currency box follows the standard's default and is not forced.

`Download Peppol XML` writes UBL 2.1 for whichever standard is selected. Print is beside it for a paper copy.

## Standards it can write

A **Standard** selector picks what the file declares. The default is XRechnung 3.0. The choice is remembered in this browser and shared by the three writing tools, and it also sets the usual currency, decides whether a Leitweg-ID applies, and drives how many decimal places the amounts carry: a JPY invoice is written without them.

The invoice body is EN 16931 in every case. What the standard changes is the two identifiers, the currency rounding, whether a Leitweg-ID applies, the scheme the electronic address is registered under, and which identifiers a national rule insists on: NLCIUS refuses an invoice without a KVK or OIN number on both parties and without a means of payment.

## What is checked before anything is written

The download is refused with the missing fields listed when a field EN 16931 treats as mandatory is absent: number, issue date, document type, currency, buyer reference, seller and buyer name, street, city, postcode and country, an electronic address for each party, at least one line, a positive quantity, a description and a unit per line, and a VAT rate inside 0 to 100. Totals are computed from the lines rather than trusted.

## Common questions

### Which countries does Peppol BIS cover?

It is the billing format of the Peppol network, used across the European Union and Norway, and adopted beyond it. Where a country has its own specialisation, that is what the PINT entries in the Standard box are for.

### What is PINT?

Peppol International Invoice, the country specialisations built on the same model. This page writes PINT for Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia with New Zealand. Pick one in the Standard box and the identifiers in the file change.

### Is this the same as InvoiceNow?

Singapore's InvoiceNow runs on Peppol. Choose Peppol PINT Singapore in the Standard box and the file declares `billing-1@sg-1`.

### Can it send the invoice to my customer?

No. It writes the file; sending it over the Peppol network needs an access point, which is a different service. Everything here happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

### What about XRechnung?

### Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up. Writing invoices is free under the site's fair usage limit.
