Is B2B e-invoicing mandatory in Denmark?

No. But the Bookkeeping Act requires businesses to run certified digital bookkeeping systems, and those systems must be able to send and receive e-invoices through Peppol and NemHandel.

What is NemHandel?

The national e-invoicing infrastructure behind public procurement. Invoices travel in OIOUBL, the Danish UBL format, or in Peppol BIS.

What does the Bookkeeping Act demand?
